About Ty
I’ve been a sincere foodie since way back when the “food network” was my Saturday morning cooking show lineup on Maryland Public Television. I would watch hours of shows like Yan Can Cook with Martin Yan, Julia Child's The French Chef, and my absolute favorite—Justin Wilson's Louisiana Cookin'. I was probably the only 8-year-old on my block pretending to chiffonade leaves with a twig! These days, you can find me pretty much doing the same. Only now I've graduated to edible ingredients with actual cutlery.
For the past three years I’ve been a stay at home momma to a teen girl and a toddler boy. My husband and I have been married for eight years. I started this blog out of my love for cooking and a personal creative outlet. I discovered that it could become a source of income for my family so I set out to learn current blogging climate and photography. I spend most days running after my lil man playing PJ Masks and reading so so many books (his not mine), in between testing recipes and snapping shots.
Some fun facts:
* My name is actually Tynia (pronounced tie-knee-ya). I go by Ty primarily because people mispronounce my name.
* Favorite food is steamed crabs—Baltimore, baby!
* Ice cold water is my favorite beverage.
* Dislikes are green peas and bad acting.
* Things I like are spy movies, hot baths, cheesecake, and cash (don’t judge me too harshly).
