Sazon seasoning is an excellent all-purpose seasoning from Latin cooking. This easy DIY version is easy to make using ingredients already in your pantry.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp kosher salt
  • 1 tbsp cilantro flakes dried
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper

Instructions

  • Put all of the ingredients into a mortar and blend together with the pestle until the salt is powdered. Alternatively, may use a spice grinder. Store in an airtight spice jar.
