  • 2 1/2 c all purpose flour
  • 2 c mild cheddar or sharp
  • 1 1/4 c whole milk
  • 1/2 c melted salted butter more for brushing
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp parsley flakes
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda


  • Start by whisking flour, baking powder, baking soda, garlic powder, salt, and parsley flakes to a mixing bowl.
  • Next, add the butter and milk and stir using a regular dinner fork until almost combined. Stir in the cheese.
  • Drop spoonful of batter on a lightly sprayed or buttered baking sheet. Bake at 400° for 12-14 minutes. Brush with more butter if desired.
