Ingredients

Salmon Marinade

  • 4 5 oz salmon fillets
  • 1/4 c soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp seasoned rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp canola oil + a little extra to sear the salmon
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 8 c leafy greens
  • 1 cucumber thinly sliced
  • 2 avocados halved and sliced
  • 8 radishes thinly sliced
  • 1/2 small red onion sliced into rings
  • mini peppers
  • jalapenos

Dressing

  • 1/2 c canola oil
  • 1/4 c seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1/4 c lime juice
  • 1/4 c pickled ginger
  • handful cilantro leaves
  • 1/2 small jalapeno
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt

Instructions

  • Pulse all of the dressing ingredients in a food processor until smooth 
  • In a shallow dish whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, lime, oils, spices, and salmon for at least 20 minutes
  • Prepare salad as desired
  • Heat the extra canola oil in a skillet over medium to high heat and place salmon skin side down into the hot pan
  • Turn the heat down to medium and cover for 10-12 minutes; turn salmon once just before removing it from the pan to sear the top*
  • Place salmon over salad with dressing to serve
