Make these crispy baked chicken wings for a lighter version of a pub classic. Toss them in your favorite sauce with dip on the side.
3lbchicken wingscut or whole
2tbspcooking oilcanola oil works well
1 1/2tspkosher salt
Preheat the oven to 475 degrees. Prepare a baking sheet with a wire rack.
In a bowl, season the wings with the spices and coat with oil. Layer the wings on the rack and bake for 25-30 minutes. The wings will be golden brown and crisp. Check for doneness with a thermometer reading at 165 degrees.
Cautions: This recipe should be done in a clean oven. The high heat may cause an already greasy oven to smoke. Coupled with the openess of the grease from the wings on the rack will cause additional splatter. Be sure to ventilate the cooking area and watch for smoking.
