Homemade Pizza Seasoning —a blend of parmesan cheese, herbs, and spices. Use this seasoning blend to perk up pizza, pasta, and salads.
A sprinkling of Pizza Seasoning adds a bit of zest and spice to any pizza pie. Whenever I order pizza at a pizzeria, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, and a dash or dried basil are a must. I’m also fond to dried parmesan if they have it. At home, I make an amped up pantry spice blend with powdered parmesan that is so good.
Powdered parmesan is great for convenience recipes just like this one. It adds great nutty flavor to the pizza seasoning blend. I prefer the powdered over freshly grated because it is more suited for shaking out if a bottle and blends better with the spices. You can certainly make this blend without parmesan using the same amount of suggested spices.
