This skinny lemon pie smoothie is like dessert with a straw. It’s a fraction of the calories in a slice of pie but still satisfies a sweet tooth.
I recently crafted a series of low-calorie smoothies for my personal weight loss efforts and I just had to share. I’m calling them skinny dessert smoothies because they are lower in calories than dessert but still delicious to taste. These less guilt smoothies are perfect for anyone who’s conscious about calories. So far, I’ve posted my Sweet Potato Pie Smoothie and Mixed Berry Cheesecake Smoothie really soon. Be sure to check back.
Lemon Pie Smoothie
This lemon pie smoothie tastes just like its namesake. Graham crackers and a dollop or two of lemon curd give it an authentic flavor. I used Bonne Maman’s new Lemon Curd, graham crackers, 0% yogurt, and a splash of almond milk. It is beyond words good and I don’t feel guilty whipping these up for an after-dinner treat. It is so good in fact, I literally had to wrestle my glass out of my kid’s hand! Needless to say, it is in high demand in this house. Which I have no issue with. The fact that it’s a better choice for them makes me happy. All the lemony deliciousness makes them happy; a win-win.
How to Make Dessert Smoothies
Put all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. I add a splash of almond milk just to get the blades going. And to make the dessert smoothie look official, I rim the glass with a bit of lemon curd and crushed graham crackers.
Pour the smoothie into the glass and serve immediately.
