This delicious sweet potato pie smoothie is fit for fall. A dessert-inspired smoothie with a fraction of the calories.
I’m kind of obsessed with sweet potatoes and the fall season. They are sort of synonymous to me. Naturally, I buy them in abundance and create delicious recipes with them. Lately, I’ve been crafting dessert-inspired smoothies with fewer calories. This smoothie is a delightful treat with fewer calories compared to a slice of pie.
Easy to Make Sweet Potato Pie Smoothie
A handful of ingredients is all you need to make it. You can use frozen or defrosted mashed sweet potato; frozen makes it colder. I used unfrozen for this recipe, fat-free Greek yogurt, almond milk, pumpkin pie spice, and date paste to sweeten.
Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
How to Freeze Sweet Potatoes for Smoothies
Cook and mash the sweet potatoes before freezing. I use a measuring cup for the preferred portion sizes. Then place the scoop into a muffin tin and freeze.
Pop them out and into a plastic freezer bag.

- 1/2 c mashed sweet potato frozen*
- 1/4 c 0% yogurt
- 2 tbsp date paste
